I too work at a shop that bends exhaust, and what you say is correct, just wanted to inform you the gas tank has always been offset, including 1970 models. -CP
: I kind of doubt it. From what I remember both Mustangs and Mavericks have pretty tight bends over the axle. While not impossible, a good tubing bender can custom make you a nice set of duals. I custom made exhaust for tons of cars, from Honda CRXs to 32 Ford coupes and alot inbetween. My advice is this, Plan on leaving the car at which shop you choose to do it. I did not mind people hanging around and waiting but I always liked to take my time, to do it right. You can always request that they put it up on a rack to check the finished work. Depending on what you want and were you go It should run between $225.00 and $350.00. Also After 1970 Ford changed gas tanks on the mavericks offsetting them to the left. This can limit the size of the tail pipes in the rear. Unless you are pushing alot of horse power you really do not need 2 and half inch tail pipes. In some cases to big of exhaust piping loses lowend torque on a mild engine setup.
