Stroke the 302. I built a 302 into a 347 with a stroker kit. Almost as much Cubic inch as a Windsor but much easier to fit and work on. I have a mildly built 347 in my 73 grabber. Runs good on the street with maybe 10 MPG, but I drive right to the track and run mid 13's without adjusting anything. When I turn on the NOS I hit low 12's with the 100 HP shot, it will do 11's with a 150 shot but then I need a cage. Also consider the tranny and axle. A 9" axle would be a good idea. Stroker kits go for around $1300, and another thousand or so to have it built.
