The best AOD is the 89 to 92, especially from a van or truck, they have the better parts along with the A servo for better shifts. AODE is electronicially controlled and takes much wiring and computer control. Diffently not a "simple" project. You can get the AODE first gear assembly and put that into the AOD. That's where the part comes from in the first place.
: What is the best car to get an AOD out of? I need something to mate to my 289. How much tunnel massaging is necessary to get the tranny in? Really thinking about doing the swap soon.
