190 is not to high but it pobably is not the correct temp anyways, if you don't have a digital gauge and your temp sender is not in the proper place in the system then your guage could be up 10degrees off either way. So you could be running at 180-200. If you have a 160degree thermistat and you are running 190 then you have a problem but if you have a 180degree themistat and your running 190 then it is not a problem
Some causes of high engine temp are:
bad/improper thermistat
cloged radiator
cloged heater core
broken fan belt
no fan shroud
improper water/antifree mix
improper ignition timing
improper level in radiator and or overflow bottle
craked head/block
broken head gasket
low oil pressure/flow(could be bad pump or plugged oil passages and or the head gasket problem)
low oil level
I don't think you have any of these problems but I listed them incase anyone wanted to know what would cause overheating and high running temp's. The last ones are very serious problems and can cause engine failure.

: MY 302 TENDS TO RUN AT 190DEG IN NORMAL WEATHER,IS THIS
: TO HOT.
