I would think that you could modify the old one and make it so it bolts in the new location, either way it has to bolt in somehow. I had been planning to add all new frame rails from the rear cross member forward, so the tranny mount for my car would be alot different, but now that I am keeping the stock floor and rails, I will have to look at it to see how it will mount. I believe there are a few people on the board that have AOD's in there car so you could ask them how they did it.
