Has anybody out there tried headers from Ford Powertrain Applications? They make a real nice looking set of tri-y and 4 tube shorties for 65-73 Mustangs (with 289-351). Tri-y headers have a reputation for good low end and mid-range torque while only giving up about 10hp at top end. All the while being smaller and easier to fit (with more ground clearance) and clutch linkage clearance too. I emailed them and they said they have a header that might fit. If anyone is interested here is their url and address.
