deciphering a rear bumper

I know of a guy that thinks he has 3 maverick rear bumpers(NOS)
He gave me the stamped numbers from one.
71D73 12 9 3 does it mean anything.
I gave him measurements from mine and it seems close.
He's concerned it may be a mustang bumper.

How can I explain a maverick bumper over the phone as compared
to a mustang.
