I agree with Ray on the fact it is your car do what you want it is YOUR car. I also agree with Dennis on the fact that the 400 can be built decent enough. I do not agree with it pulling massive RPMs. Sure in a Bronco it would have great torque, but you are not going to be drag racing a Bronco very often :) A 351C is basically a 400 but it is a little smaller in Size. These barely fit in a Maverick as is. I have seen only one and it Had nice hammer Marks on the shock towers from the headers banging into them. Sure if you got unlimited money you can make almost any engine work in any car. But is it really worth the effort? Not really Hell a good built 302 can put a Mav in the Mid 12s with ease. Ever been a 12 second car it is a little scarier than most poeple think. I have been in a 9 second car and that is even more thrilling yet scary. Lose control on the street and you are pretty much F$&@ed!!! You must also think about the fact that parts for a 400 or even a 351C are getting harder to find. I lay my vote on a 302 or 351W,budget means everything in this hobby. Get the most bang for your buck and then use that money you saved to upgrade the rest of the car. Good Luck and let us know how it goes, I think I can speak for all the board members on this no matter what engine you decide on we all want to know how it progesses.
