After countless hours of research and a few phone calls time of from work I have some good news and some bad news. The rear disc swap will work but here is the catch. It will only work on Large bearing 9 inch rearends or 8.8 rear ends. Why? Well they use a different flange size because the axles are bigger 31 splines for 28, which in turn needs a bigger space accomodation AKA bigger axle tubes. The flange area that is needed is 2 inch by 3.56 inch bolt pattern. which as it turns out will not fit the 8.8 in mustangs. Truck rearends only. So if anybody has the big 9 inch under your car it should work. Also you must have a width of 2.5 inches between the axle flange and backside of axle. This kit can be purchased from Ford Part# M-200-G. The Kit cost 395.00. However you must purchase the rubber brake hoses and Parking cables seperate( which I suspect would have to be modified). I am still working on a way to make this fit the smaller flange of the samll bearing 9 inch and 8 inch housings. Maybe a shim between the Backing plate welded on to the plate to fabricate new holes. then machining the the mounting anchor to make up for the difference. I will keep all interested informed.
