Working on both 3&4 bolt I've seen 4 bolt pull out of the upper control arm with hard use. the 3 bolt seems to take abuse better. Of course I build rounde-round cars (1/4mile oval)
: Does anyone know the physical difference on the 3 bolt upper ball joint verses the 4 bolt upper ball joint. I don't know if the 5.0 Mustangs that still had coils used a three bolt or a four, but I would figure that the added bolt would proved more support for braking. Could this be a possible upgrade for front disc applications? Auto Krafter's catalog shows that the four bolt was between 70-74 (almost pre front disc), and the three bolt from 70-77.
: I am interested in opinions, and personal experiences.
