I checked with stainless steel brake Co. and they told me the plate that the backing plate is different than the mustang or other 8 inch rears and that it can't be done. If someone know how to do it let me know!

: :first off, anything like an engine you get from a junk yard try and get a warranty with it. if they won't you take what you get. And even then it may have already been bored .060", or be cracked inside, etc.
: I've seen good running complete engines go for as little as $200. just depends on the yard.
: Second; why buy a Versailles Rearend and go thru all the hassle of changing everything when you can get a good disc brake system from another source. And keep your factory rearend. They are out there you just have to know where to look.
: Everyone thinks they have to change to a Versailles rearend to get discs, THAT'S BS sports fans.

: went to the junkers today, looking a 302 to put in. fist place had them for $350, second place had them for $900, low mileage.
: : even if i bought one for $350 and it needed to be rebuilt, would it cross $900? which do you think is the better way to go, and are these prices realistic, or are they trying to screw me?
: : also, what years lincoln versailles rearends work on the 74 mav.
