O.K. if you `ll look under your Maverick you`ll notice that the front frame rails are connected to the underside of the floorpan .Then towards the rear of the car you`ll see two more frame rails that go the rest of the length of the car. This means the car doesn`t have a full length frame, but instead uses the floor pan for structural strength. This design is called a "unit body" or uni-body. The uni-body cars tend to flex during hard driving situations(not good) .What subframe connectors do, is connect the front subframe to the rear subframe. Which makes the car have a much stronger "full length" frame. Yes it will improve any uni-body car(regardles of engine) to install them .Because when it comes to a car chassis the stiffer the better.
Now if you have a six cylinder Mav, and you just use it for daily transportation frame connectors really arent a must. But they would make the car drive and handle a liitle better. M.A.V.
