Sounds like a low battery or starter problem. Check your battery's voltage, should be around 12V (if not charge the battery). Then turn the starter over while looking at the voltage... if it drops below 9V then you have a bad battery or a starter that draws too much current. Have a parts store check your battery and if it's good, replace the starter.
The reason this happens, is after you run the car and it is hot, you let the car sit and it "heat sinks," actually gets hotter before it cools off. The battery and starter absorb this heat and if they are on thier way out then they don't work right.
Good luck -CP

: Okay, i'll try tobe specific as i can. at the 12:30 starting the car would just crannk and and but wouldn't get that last turnover. for the 1:00 starting when i finally got it started it would and and when i floored it it turned over but barely barely turned over. like it wanted to go, but didn't at the same time. This is about as specific as i can describe it. Thanks for your help man.

: : Ok, because you weren't real specific I am going to assume that the car ed but did not start. If the car ed really slowly then it is probably your starter, after the 10:30 running it had time to heat sink and wouldn't start well. If it turned over ok, then it could be a number of things, but it sound like eventually the car was flooded if you had to floor it to start it. Clarify a few points and maybe we can narrow it down a little. -CP

: : : okay, so i went to work this morning, started the mav at 7:30 and it fired up just fine. I went out on break at 10:30 and it started up just fine. 12:30 comes around so i go on lunch, rather tried to and the mav wouldn't start at all.... i finally got it started around 1pm. but it like barely barely barely wanted to go.. i had to like floor it to get it ing. so i popped the hood and i noticed that the cap on the block that you put the oil in was off and that some "smoke" was coming out of my engine. ran it for a bit, then started it again at 3 and then again at 5 when i left. was a hard turn over both times. very strange. what could be the problem???? I NEED MY MAV!!!!!!!!!!! thanks,
