:just repalce the rear seal and check for a groove in the shaft, it's a pretty easy seal to change, lots of shops can do it for you real cheap, just have to drop the shaft first, keep a eye on your trans, may have been damaged, hope not, only takes a little fluid loose (1 qt, not pt) to start a trany slipping and cause damage and a good trans cooler is her best friend. Not the one in the raditor.

After reading a bit about the tranny slipping in another post, I decided to see what the problem is with mine. It is leaking from where the drive shaft goes into the tranny. Not too bad but when it gets low, I notice that the shifting sucks. It is a C4 auto. What is the fix? Can I do it myself or is this a shop fix.
