:it's easier with engine and trans hooked together already, if using headers, just lay them in the engine compartment out to the sides and work the engine in slowly between them, might want to test fit your headers to the heads first to make sure all the bolt holes line up nicely, lots easier to check them with the engine out then fight them once it's in. seen them out of alignment before, real bitch getting them in after their in place
When doing my 250CID to 302CID swap, I plan to remove old drivetrain and install new drivetrain as a unit (engine, transmission, bell housing and starter as a unit). is this less or more work?
