ok, i put in my 302 finally yesterday , after much pulling and tugging to thread the long bolts thru the engine mounts. i ran up the bellhousing to engine bolts a few threads, and i managed to get two of the TQ conveter nuts on. however, the two that i got on are not opposite to each other, and the other two studs don't seem to want to come thru the holes in the flexplate. it seems as if the whole thing is cocked to one side. tried shifting around stuff, slackening etc. to no avail, till it was too dark to see. anybody have any tips for this or do i have to just keep moving it around? are all TQ convertors like this? i seem to remember seeing one that used bolts instead of nuts and studs.
any advice appreciated.
thanks,
inshan
