Hi Jason, I think I talked to you b4 Your in CO right? If yes, you don't have to go to the regular emmission place, you go to the 80 and older version. They look at the year of the car and check only what was on that car originally.
So in you case as in mine I have a 74, Here in CO, you only have to have the charcoal canister and the stuff that was original. I know that you probably have a nice air cleaner, etc... You need to make it look as close to stock as possible. They wont dig too much if it looks stock. Mine has only the canister. I have a new everything else. I put in a 351W (not all the way in yet but soon still working on the head porting). Ah yes the name of the reg place is clean air Colorado and you don't have to go there and even if you don't have any other choice in your town, travel to where they have the little private stands that are licensed to do it. That is my suggestion. You only have to get it done once every 2 years.
BTW don't let any one bullshit you, You have to do it every 2 years even if you have the 5 year collector plates. The sticker expires and if you get pulled over, they can write you up for that! And as of this year, that will be one heafty fine!
So any ? write back to my email
Chris
