Roller cams solve a lot of your valvetrain problems with high duration. Check into some conversions. -CP
: According to what I know of cam theory valve lift is limited by duration. This makes sense to me since given a small duration ramp angles needed for high lift would be brutal on a valvetrain. So does anybody know the calculation for figuring maximum lift for a given duration. I want to make a custom grind for an application that has no performance parts I'm aware of. I'm looking for it to be smog legal. That is why I want higher lift with slightly more duration. From what I have read duration is what kills you on smog cars. Any help would be appreciated.
