Shelby didn't cut the coils, he re-engineered them. It's called progressive or variable rate springs. The springs can lower your height, the A-arms were relocated not to lower the cars, a side effect, but to change the angle of the suspension. This made the suspension work better for handling purposes. It'll work on the Mavs just use new suspension parts.


: I was going to cut my coils to get the car to ride a little lower...someone suggested lowering the upper control arm one/or two inches...does this create performance problems...I know they did it on shelby mustangs but how does it work on the maverick? Good idea or will cutting the spring be good enough?
