So far everyone has pretty much clarified the pros & cons of the transmissions, but you must consider that the C4 is a bolt-in (except for the flywheel), while the T5 will require much more work. The T5 has a cable-style linkage, a method Mavericks never used. So, you'll need a pedal assembly and you'll need to fabricate linkage or buy a bellhousing kit to convert to mechanical linkage (if you do that you'll still have to find an original Maverick V8 clutch linkage).
I prefer a stick, and I think the T5 would definitely be worth the effort, but just wanted you to know what you'll be getting into.. -CP

: I am looking at buying a 5.0HO out of a late mustang, with the intention of converting to carb. The seller also has the T-5 that was mated to it. Is the T-5 the better way to go or should I keep the C-4 that is in the car with my 250 now.
: Which of these is better and what are the cost differences between the two?
: thanks
