A 700 is to much carb for a street 302. Go with either Holley or Edelbrock 600cfm carb and Edelbrock Performer or Performer RPM Intake manifold (Weiand is good too). Headers only benefit above 4000 RPM. Personally I hate them. A good true dual exhaust system with cross-pipe and stock exhaust manifolds are fine for a mild street 302. The exhaust manifolds last longer and don't radiate as much heat into the engine compartment. You also won't have to deal with speed bumps hitting the headers...

: Okay,... since i figured out how to get the conversion for my distributor (it was unanimous: POINTS SUCK) next question is... this: Holley 700carb or Edelbrock 700carb or some other brand of carb? okay so its more than one question. What kind of intake should i get to go along with the carb. And as for headers... what size/brand/style work good? 302 v8 with the stock 2bbl for now.. gotta upgrade though. Thanks guyz.
