First of all forget the Edelbrock Intake. The Weiand Stealth is much better. It has larger intake runners and where the water jackets in the back of the head are it has a cross flow for them, The edelbrocks just block them off and then it corrodes there. This is the setup I had before I stroked the motor, Weiand Stealth Intake, Edelbrock 600 cfm carb., Hedman 1 5/8" headers, 2 1/2" exhaust pipes. It ran awesome. The only thing I changed after the stroker kit was the carb. I now use a 750 edelbrock, but I rev it to 6500 when I'm racing.
